CHATEAUX FALFAS
Cotes de Bourg, Bordeaux, France
Château Falfas, located in Bayon along the Gironde, has been celebrated as "the glory of the Bourgeais" since the 14th century. A pivotal shift occurred in 1989 when the vineyard adopted biodynamic farming practices, driven by a commitment to environmental stewardship and respect for nature and consumers.
Under the leadership of Véronique Cochran, daughter of biodynamic pioneer François Bouchet, Château Falfas has thrived. Véronique's influence extends beyond the estate; she played a key role in founding Biodyvin, a union for biodynamic winegrowers. This tradition emphasises both a rich historical heritage and a firm dedication to sustainable, responsible winemaking at Château Falfas.
Total area of the estate: 20 hectares
