About the producer:
Perched on the hillsides of Bayon, along the right bank of the Gironde, Château Falfas has been known as "the glory of the Bourgeais" since the 14th century. A significant transformation took place in 1989 when the entire vineyard embraced biodynamic farming, guided by a deep commitment "to protect the environment by respecting the plant, nature, and the consumer."
Véronique Cochran, the daughter of François Bouchet—one of the pioneers of biodynamics in France—now leads the estate. Her impact reaches beyond Château Falfas, as she was instrumental in founding Biodyvin, the union of biodynamic winegrowers. This legacy highlights not only a rich history but also a strong dedication to sustainable and responsible winemaking at Château Falfas.
