Tasting notes:
This unique cuvée is crafted with 0% fossil energy, making it as natural as it is special. Made from Carignan grapes and protected by the estate’s resident geese, it undergoes an extraordinary 9-month maceration in buried qvevri (amphora). The result is a stunningly expressive wine with notes of prunes, red cherry, aromatic herbs, and violet. It offers both structure and delicate elegance. Produced in extremely limited quantities, it pairs beautifully with grilled meats or vegetables.
About the producer:
Anne Laure Sicard completed her first harvest in 2016, but she's far from a novice. After earning her degree in oenology in Montpellier, she gained experience at Château Latour and traveled the world as a winemaker, working in Spain, Australia, Canada, Uruguay, and Argentina. Upon returning to Languedoc, she took over 9 hectares of vineyards situated at 450 meters above sea level, on the northern edge of Terrasses du Larzac. This inspired the name of her domaine, Mas Lasta, means in Occitan "the last vines."
Total surface of the domain: 9 ha
